Hugo von Heinsen is a delightful 12-14 month old German Shepherd. Hugo is a handsome boy, the epitome of the classic, black and tan Shepherd look. With medium-energy levels, this mid-sized boy is sure to be a welcome addition to a family. On his journey to Westside, he lived with a family for few weeks; he was good with the children, housebroken, crate-trained, good alone in a house and yard, and knows sit and down. Can you say genius? He takes treats politely and is fabulous on a leash. He’s curious about his surroundings and greets other dogs with a laid-back charm. Hugo believes in the idea that others will judge him by the company he keeps, preferring that his co-canines are calm, not pushy, and are as well-mannered as he is. Hugo is a fabulous listener; and who wouldn't be when he so often hears “Who’s the best boy?!” He is a bit shy but, with some pets and rubs, this little sprout will blossom. Give him some time to settle into where he’s planted, and watch him bloom with possibilities. (No cats please.)
